Elevating Champions

Enhance your athlete's skills, character, and cultural roots with LĀ'IE SKILLZ ACADEMY

OUR MISSION

At LĀ’IE SKILLZ ACADEMY, we break down barriers to success, offering our youth a chance to shine through basketball without cost to their families. Our mission is to enrich what’s already nurtured at home—respect, love, and service—through sport, embedding these core values in every dribble, pass, and play.

We’re more than a basketball program; we’re a commitment to fostering unity, discipline, and the pursuit of dreams, preparing our young athletes not just for the game, but for life.

ANNUAL CAMP

Each summer, the Jabari Parker Camp invites aspiring young athletes to a transformative experience at BYUH. Our camp isn’t just about drills and scrimmages; it’s a celebration of growth, community, and the spirit of Polynesia.

It’s an immersive experience where your child can learn from the pros, enjoy community support, and connect with their heritage—all while having the time of their life in beautiful Lā’ie, Hawaii.

WHY US?

World-Class Coaching: Professional insights to inspire and improve. We believe athletes who train under pressure will excel when it matters most.

Cultural Connection: A gathering place where culture, teamwork, and unity builds the community of tomorrow.

Everything Included: From gear to guidance, without the price tag. One generation builds another to serve and see the beauty in giving love forward.

Objective: To give aspiring athletes daily exposure to training resources and facilities

WHAT PARENTS ARE SAYING

"Jabari Parker Basketball Clinic started today! What a hit! Thank you to coach Chris, aunty Terina, volunteers and family members!"
Laie Community Association
"Thank you Parker family Christian Parker Aot Oterin and Jabari Parker and all the volunteers for putting on a fun 3 day basketball camp for these kids... The best part was Jabari's closing statement to pay it forward and look to bless and pray for someone else. Love that!"
Leeann M
"The only thing bigger than the smiles in Laie today was Milwaukee Bucks’ forward Jabari Parker. More than 200 kids in grades 3-12 participated in a basketball camp hosted by the 6-foot-8, 250-pound NBA star."
Sam S | KOHN2 News
"This experience was a good reminder for me to measure these role models by how they give back to the community and not just what is on their trophy shelves.
Mahalo Jabari and Christian!"
